I am one of nine children born in Opello, AR, at the foot of Petit Jean Mountain. I graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Morrilton, AR where I lettered all four years in baseball. My life revolved around baseball. I feel so fortunate to have been able to spend some time in 1960 with the Colt 45’s Camp, now known as the Houston Astro's. I was with them just long enough to find out that I wasn’t quite good enough. No discouragement there, though. I still am an avid fan of the game and absolutely love to watch my favorite teams, the Yankees, Dodgers and Cardinals. When I am not servicing my customers insurance needs or spending time with my family, you can catch me cheering on the Cabot High School baseball and football teams.

This brings me to the real love of my life, my life partner, Carol Jim Hart. She has been my solid rock foundation since 1964. Together, she and I have had four sons, all of which were tremendous athletes in their own right.

I joined State Farm in 1967 and have enjoyed much success here. I am also a member of the Sherwood and Cabot Chambers of Commerce. I thoroughly enjoy assisting my customers with all products and services State Farm has to offer, but I am particularly most proud of assisting with our Life insurance programs.

To me, State Farm is a family and my agency is a reflection of that. I am fortunate to have relatives who also work for State Farm. Our son, Keith, has been a big part of my career for over 30 years. Our son, Todd is a Vice President with State Farm and is in charge of agency recruiting nationwide. My brother in law, Mike Hart Sr., is an agent in Little Rock. His son, Mike Hart Jr. is an agent in Searcy, AR. And my grand-daughter, Kennedy has been my Customer Service representative for 5 years & counting. Starting in February of 2020, Amanda is the "newest" licensed Team Member of the crew. Yet, she fits in like she's been around since the very beginning. Amanda came to work at the Edd Hoyt Agency as a licensed Life Insurance representative, and quickly became licensed in the Property & Casualty field as well. She has become one of the most knowledgeable Insurance representatives in the area.

Amanda has been an Arkansas resident her entire life. She grew up in Little Rock, and graduated from Cabot High School in 2003. She is an avid sports fan, especially when it comes to the Arkansas Razorbacks or softball. So much so, that she coached Girl's little league softball for multiple years. Amanda loves to spend her free time with her daughter, Elyssa, and their two dogs. Together, they like to go hiking around Petit Jean Mountain and also enjoy going to the gym or walking the neighborhood to stay active. Amanda always has a smile on her face and in her voice on the phone. She is a bright light of the Agency and will go above and beyond to take care of her customers time and time again. A Sherwood/North Little Rock resident for 18 years, Scott is duly licensed in Arkansas holding a Property and Casualty, Life and Health license. Scott is ready to assist you with checking or savings accounts, State Farm Visa, automobile purchases and refinances. He brings 30 plus years of experience to our agency from the entertainment and hospitality industry.

At Edd Hoyt State Farm, we love sports and Scott is no exception. Along with having a rich history in Monster Truck racing, Scott and his wife of 20 years, Cheli are parent representatives of the Sherwood Sharks Swim team where their two daughters compete throughout Central Arkansas. When not poolside at a Sherwood Sharks or North Little Rock Wildcats swim meet, Scott can be found participating in The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life events across Arkansas in Heber Springs, Little Rock, and Jacksonville, Junior Achievement of Arkansas’ Turkey Bowl or volunteering at Indian Hills Elementary School.

Scott is also an Arkansas Notary Public and very excited to be part of the Edd Hoyt State Farm family!
